Sunday, May 7, 14, and 21, Adult Bible Study Series, 8:15-9:30 am, in the Parlor

Thursday, May 11, 7:00 pm, Gratitude Book Discussion
Sponsored by the Diaconate, Facilitated by Ellie McConnaughy
Are you looking for a boost in your life? You may want to think about being intentionally grateful throughout your day, actively looking for things to be thankful for. At our last book discussion session, led by Leah, Len Warner spoke about the value of gratitude for uplifting us and giving us a positive attitude. Len’s comments inspired us, and now the Diaconate is offering another book discussion, this time with the focus on gratitude. On Thursday, May 11, at 7:00 pm, we will be hosting a discussion about the book “A Simple Act of Gratitude” by John Kralik. This book is available on Amazon, and in our library system, also under the title “365 Thank Yous.” Please join us as we talk about the gratitude practices that have helped us in our lives. You can choose to read and contribute to the discussion using any book, including the one mentioned above, that has spoken to you about the value of being appreciative for the blessings in your life. Scientists have found that gratitude increases our optimism and our joy, and multiplies the blessings we experience in life. We hope that you will join us for a lively and meaningful discussion!
