Adult Bible Study Lent Series Begins – 8:15 am
We will meet all six Sundays during Lent from 8:15-9:30 am in the parlor and will look at Lenten art, especially art relating to the lectionary readings for each Sunday. Each meeting begins with time for fellowship including coffee, bagels and muffins and ends with quiet time, meditation and the lighting & extinguishing of Lenten candles. Please join us!

In response to the congregations in the topic of racial justice, the program White Privilege: Let’s Talk is being presented by the Christian Service Board over 4 Sundays during Lent. It is a self-reflective program developed by the UCC to delve into what it personally means to be of the white race in the US today. It is based on the writings of 5 theologians, 2 white and 3 black, on their personal awareness of a variety of topics from their own spiritual autobiography through the lens of race, whiteness as the norm, the cash value of whiteness, and on becoming an ally. Sign up is requested so copies of the materials can be downloaded before the start of the sessions.
The program will run from 12 to 1 on March 5th, 12th, 26th and April 2nd. Childcare will be provided. Please contact the church to sign up during coffee hour or through the church office at 781-762-3320 or email at FirstCongo.Norwood@verizon.net.
